About Providing Consent to Share Information with Banks and Insurers (for Research Purposes)

By taking part in this research, you're contributing to a growing evidence base that helps banks and insurers better understand the real-world value of household resilience. Your participation supports the development of more affordable, fair, and transparent insurance and finance products—particularly for Australians living in hazard-prone areas.

This process builds on the success of the Bushfire Resilience Rating, which has already led to significant reductions in insurance premiums for participating households.

By signing the consent form, you agree to the terms outlined in the RBC Privacy Policy and specifically authorise RBC to release your personal information to third-party banks and insurers for the purpose of:

• Reviewing their pricing processes
• Exploring how Resilience Ratings might be reflected in product offers

The data shared may include (but is not limited to):

• Your property’s site address
• Risk information, including Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) and vegetation hazard assessments
• A detailed list of building materials and photos
• Your Resilience Ratings scores

What will not be shared:

• Your phone number and email address
• Any direct contact details

What happens to your data:

• All data shared by RBC will be destroyed by the third parties after their analysis is complete, regardless of whether or not you are an existing customer
• If you later choose to share your certified Resilience Rating directly with a third party, that data will be handled under that organisation’s own privacy policy and terms
• Any future sharing of your information must be confirmed through direct communication and consent between you and the relevant third party
